LOUTH COUNTY COUNCIL ANNUAL MEETING

The annual meeting of Louth County Council will convene on 21^st June 2024, at 10.00 hrs in the offices of Louth County Council, County Hall, St. Alphonsus Road, Dundalk Co. Louth.

The first business of the newly elected council will be the election of its Cathaoirleach.

This meeting is the first meeting of the newly elected council following the local elections held on 7^th June 2024 and will be chaired by the Cathaoirleach directly elected on that day.

Local authorities by virtue of their democratic mandate make appointments to a range of bodies.

Governance/Oversight committee of the Dublin / Belfast Economic Corridor
Irish Public Bodies Mutual Insurance Ltd
Joint Policing Committee / Local Policing Forum
Local Community Development Committee (LCDC)
Local Sports Partnership
Memorandum of Understanding with Newry and Mourne District Council
North East Regional Drugs & Alcohol Task Force
North East Regional Homeless Forum
Peace Partnership Board
Louth Peace + Partnership
Regional Health Forum – Dublin North East

At this annual meeting the council will consider the making of appointments (councillor and non-councillor where appropriate) to these bodies. It should be noted however that appointments to some, under the relevant statutory or other provisions applicable or at the council’s discretion, may fall to be considered and made at a later date to the annual meeting.
