Two Ballymakenny College students, Orla Mc Dermott and Jamie Seberry, are hosting a night of song in the TLT prop room on Wednesday next, December the 20th, to help raise funds for their chosen charity Nurture Africa.
Nurture Africa is an international development organisation based in Dublin and working in Uganda to provide vulnerable families with access to healthcare, education, nutritional support and financial literacy training giving families living in poverty the tools and resources they need to become more self- reliant. Orla and Jamie are due to travel to Uganda next May with their school to visit homes, schools and learn about the root causes of poverty and much more.
As a part of this programme the girls have committed to raising as much money as they can and to help they have organised this wonderful night of song and have even managed to get Eurovision Star Niamh Kavanagh to act as host for the occasion.
Many amazing local artists have agreed to perform on the night including Lara King, Marley Peig, Hollie Mullhall, Ally Brett, Hannah Murphy and many more.
There will also be a raffle with some lovely prizes. The event starts at 7pm and it’s definitely a night not to be missed.
