Local poet Emer Davis to launch her third collection in Sarsfields Bar

After a very successful launch in Griffith College and the Indian Embassy in Dublin last week, local poet, Emer Davis will be launching her new poetry collection Optics in The Living Room, Sarsfields Bar, Cord Road, Drogheda at 7.30pm on Monday 26th June. 

A member of the Drogheda Creative Writers and runner up in the 2018 Trocaire Poetry Ireland competition with Raqqa Bowl 2017, Emer’s poems have been published widely in Ireland, UK, USA, India and UAE. 

The celebrated Indian writer, actor, theatre and film director, Nisha Luthra is travelling from India to launch Emer’s book Optics in Drogheda.

 As Emer’s literary agent in India, Nisha was responsible for publishing her two other books in India, while Emer was living there.

At the launch Emer will read from her three collections: Chaat, Postcards From India and Optics.

Special guests include Nikasha Luthra, an Indian teenage poet reading from her latest poetry book Dark Tulips, and a reading by Akarsk Nalawade, an Indian writer living in Drogheda from his novel Celebrating Mediocrity.   

All are welcome to attend the launch and of course there is no cover charge for this event.
