The Leinster Regional Final of Irish Restaurant Awards 2022 took place in the Knightsbrook Hotel in County Meath on Tuesday 16th August and many local eateries have won through to the national finals of the competition.
Over 900 restaurant and hospitality business owners and staff celebrated their hard work and achievements at the Awards Event, which saw many well-known restaurateurs of Leinster turn out to see if they had won one of the prestigious awards.
The Bare Food Company in West Street was chosen to represent Louth in the “Best Free From” section and Maria Flynn of Ballymakenny Farm Heritage Potatoes won through in the Local Food Hero section.
Number 3 Wine Bar and Restaurant in Collon was chosen to represent Louth in the Best Wine Experience category while Brabazon Restaurant in Slane will represent Meath.
Sage and Stone in Duleek will be battling it out for Meath in the Best Café category with Strandfield representing Louth.
The Trinity Quarter was selected in the Best Gastro Pub section while Scholars Townhouse Hotel won through in the Best Hotel and Guesthouse Restaurant category.
The Best Customer Service award for Louth went to The Monasterboice Inn (Donegans) while Inside Out in Slane was voted Best Casual Dining experience in Meath.

Speaking at the Leinster Regional Awards Chief Executive of the Restaurants Association of Ireland, Adrian Cummins, said; “The Awards continue to showcase the incredible food that is on offer in the cafes, pubs and restaurants of Ireland. With well over 100,000 nominations received from the public this year, the standard for the judging process was higher than ever.”
All of the county winners will now go forward to compete for the Regional and All Ireland Titles, which will be announced at the Irish Restaurant Awards All Ireland Final on Monday 19th September 2022 in the Convention Centre Dublin.
