The Borrowed Ground Arts Collective was formed over three years ago with the mission to establish Artist Studio Spaces in Drogheda.
The collective comprises of ten professional artists who have exhibited both nationally and internationally but are currently working from spare rooms in their homes or on the kitchen table.
“It is our vision to have a building where we can all create our work and for it to be a creative space in the town” local artist and Borrowed Ground member Dee Walsh told Drogheda Life.
“The Droichead Arts Centre has been a great support for the collective and our mission to find a space for studios. So far though, our search has been in vain, we are continuing our search to find a space to rent that could accommodate ten artists.”
Dee is currently part of a print exhibition called “Awakening” which consists of 30 Contemporary Irish artists. It’s a collaboration between The St. Patricks Day Festival and Damn Fine Print, with part of the proceeds going to the charity ALONE.
Awakening – 30 artists x 30 prints in an exclusive new Riso collaboration between Damn Fine Print and the St. Patrick’s Festival.
Limited edition copies of each print can be bought until March 17 for just €40, with €5 from every piece sold going to age empowerment charity ALONE.
