Kevin McAllister whose family have been providing electrical goods, and excellent after sales service to all in Drogheda for over 75 years from their shop at 88 West Street, has won the top award at the 2024 Northeast Business Awards.
It’s the social night of the year for the business community in the region and yet again, the Drogheda and District Chamber’s annual Northeast Business Awards, didn’t disappoint!
With 19 richly deserved winners feted – voted by the public and selected by a panel of independent judges – the night was a spectacular celebration of everything positive about the growing Drogheda region.
Presented in association with premier sponsor, Flogas, the glamour night, held in the CityNorth Hotel, celebrates the entire business world and they all gathered to celebrate with the winners across a wide range of categories.
The hard-working judges were delighted with the standard of the entries and had a hard time selecting the winners. The public vote section, meanwhile, saw thousands of votes cast for our very popular winners.
“Drogheda and District Chamber has been part and parcel of the community for 130 years and we intend to grow the brand hugely in the years ahead,” chamber CEO, Hubert Murphy, stated.
“These awards are special as they reward excellence and recognise the efforts people put in on a daily basis in their own sector. These awards are very much part of our ethos of recognising and rewarding local business and the great thing is that there is such a variety to choose from. The town is blessed to have such individuals and firms as part of our growing community,” chamber president, Naomi Tully, added.
They thanked all the sponsors who have shown such wonderful support down the years to the awards, the judges, the public for voting and the many, many businesses who took the time to enter.
“The awards take months of planning, and the chamber staff deliver time and time again. A real team effort makes this night what it is, ” Naomi added.
Kevin McAllister won the Outstanding Achievement in Business award, richly merited after so many years serving the public locally. “Kevin and the McAllister name is synonymous with the town and it’s great to see that dedication to professional service recognised,” the CEO stated.
