Community Historian Brendan Matthews will lead a Historical Walk n Talk on Wednesday evening next May 25th beginning at the Bottom of Mary Street/Dublin Road junction in Drogheda at 7.30pm.
The Walk n Talk will proceed along the Dublin Road where Brendan will speak on the construction of the Dublin Road in the later 18th century.
It will then proceed to Blackbush Lane via Poor-House Lane, along the old Union Workhouse grounds with some intriguing tales being told and it will finish at the old Union Workhouse Burial Ground of Bully`s Acre opposite Calvary Cemetery.
There is no charge for this particular event however donations towards the further research and presentation of Community History will be warmly welcomed on the evening.
