Mairead Finnegan, one of the organisers of the event has said, “Everyone has had a rollercoaster of emotions these last few years with the global pandemic and public events were almost impossible to hold with continuing restrictions.

“This year, Termonfeckin Development Board are planning a calendar of events to bring the community together. It just so happens that International Women’s Day is our first event for the year. We have an amazing panel of local women speakers who are leaders in their own right.

We would like to thank Forge Field Coffee Shop, Ballymakenny Farm and Drogheda Dolls for their support in helping us host the evening. We decided to donate the proceeds to Women’s Aid, following the tragic murder of Aishling Murphy, ” Mairead concluded.

Tickets are €15 and they can be purchased on www.Eventbrite.ie
