From sauerkraut to wood carving, it’s all there at the Cottage Market this Saturday

The Cottage Market is back in St Peters COI Parish Hall, Drogheda this Saturday from 11-4pm and it boasts an ever expanding range of tasty or interesting produce for sale.

With over 30 local food and craft stalls including a fantastic array of foods from around the world and locally produced foods such as cheese, breads confectionary, vegan and gluten free options alongside exquisite crafts including paintings, wood carving, and knitwear, all from local makers plus books and vinyl records, there really is something for everyone.

This month for the first time there will also be the first in a series of workshop demonstrations at the Cottage.

“Our aim is to give our makers the platform to share their skills, allow are visitors experience their work and take home some new tips and ideas” said market organiser Eimear Cullen.

“Over the coming months, with help from the AWS in Communities Fund, we are able to host at each market our Cottage Makers Share.

“To support our ethos of putting Homemade, Homegrown and Handcrafted back into the heart of our community we have invited some of our makers to share their talents and knowledge about their work with a free demonstration or workshop at the market.

“First up is Niamh Mc Donnell from Plenitude who will share her knowledge on nurturing Gut Health by hosting a demo on making sauerkraut at 2.00 pm this Saturday at the Cottage Market Drogheda.”

Oh, did we mention thathere’s also live music and an outdoor seating area?
