Meath Partnership is to host an open discussion and information sharing event on the importance of integration, particularly volunteering to support integration for migrants and refugees.
The online event ‘Lets talk integration in Ireland’ will have Mr Roderic O’Gorman Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth as a keynote speaker. There will also be a representative from volunteer Ireland sharing their observations on inclusive volunteering, its importance, and successes.
Other panellists will include a representative from Cultur, an individual from a migrant background speaking about his experience of volunteering and a representative from the Louth Meath Migrant Integration Forum.
“We believe the conference will be more valuable if the attendees get involved and share their perspectives” said a Forum spokespaerson.
“Our facilitators will host break out rooms so that smaller discussions can take place. Participants can share best practice and their ideas for inclusive volunteering and successful integration. In addition, useful resources will be shared and circulated afterwards.
“There will even be some entertainment!”
To register for the event, which will be held on Zoom on July 22nd 11-1pm, please CLICK HERE as soon as possible as places are limited.
This event is being run in celebration of the Meath Partnerships AMIF funded project ‘EU voice’ which aims to promote relationships between third country nationals and host-country nationals by organising volunteering experiences.
