LPG terminal and distribution centre to remain in Drogheda
Flogas’ headquarters is to relocate from Knockbrack in Drogheda to Dublin Airport Central towards the end of 2024. In a statement issued today the company says this is due to continued customer growth in energy services and the consequent increase in employee numbers
“Employees based at Knockbrack will transfer to Dublin Airport Central” they say, with an additional 25 new jobs to be created by the move.
The Flogas LPG terminal and distribution centre on the Marsh Road is unaffected by the move and will remain, as will any employees working on-site.
The company says the move to the new premises will help to facilitate the company’s continued growth and expansion plans, while still maintaining its connection to Drogheda.
“Flogas will continue its long-standing investment and involvement in the local community and clubs in Drogheda, Louth and surrounding counties.
“Flogas operates a hybrid working policy and is keen to support a positive work life balance for all its employees. Hybrid and flexible working arrangements will continue to be offered. Flogas is working on transport solutions to enable its teams to travel sustainably to its new head office.
John Rooney, managing director of Flogas Ireland, said, “Our roots will always and forever lie in Drogheda and Louth. As employee numbers have increased by over 40% in the past few years, a move to a single larger premises has become a necessity.
“Our employees are now living across the island of Ireland, so following months of search, the premises in Dublin Airport was chosen for sustainability, accessibility, good transport links, parking, shops and other amenities close by.”
The Flogas Enterprise office in Dublin’s City Centre will also be moving to the new location.
