Exhibition to Celebrate the work of Drogheda Photographer Jimmy Weldon

A special exhibition of photographs by the late Jimmy Weldon is set to take place in Drogheda, celebrating his life and his contribution to the town’s cultural story.

The exhibition has been organised by Katherina Weldon to honour his memory and share his work with the community.

Jimmy Weldon, who passed away in April 2022, was well known for capturing everyday life in Drogheda through powerful and evocative images. His photographs reflect local people, familiar scenes and moments that many in the community will recognise.

The exhibition offers a chance for the public to view a selection of his work and revisit scenes from Drogheda’s past through his lens.

The exhibition will run at Droichead Arts Centre, Stockwell Street, Drogheda from Wednesday April 1 to Saturday April 11, 2026.

The gallery will be open from Tuesday to Saturday, from 11am to 4pm.
