Duleek Bellewstown GFC celebrate Sports Inclusion Fitness Day

Duleek Bellewstown GFC celebrated the GAA’s National Inclusion Fitness Day on Thursday with an event at their grounds in Duleek which was attended by children of all ages with special needs and their families.

The GAA’s second annual National Inclusion Fitness Day was held to coincide with the European Week of Sport. The aim of the event is to promote exercise and physical activity to everyone regardless of their age, sexual orientation, ability, ethnicity, nationality, or fitness level.

Chairperson of Duleek Bellewstown GFC Juvenile Committee Gillian Duffy said: ‘Inclusion is about making a difference. Inclusivity is a movement, a move to include. Being truly inclusive is living our GAA motto, ‘Where we all Belong’.

Duleek Bellewstown GFC would like to thank all the children and their families that participated, all the club members who helped to organise, promote and hold the event and the club’s Games Promotion Officer Damien Sheridan.
