Special charity walk on bank holiday Monday for the autism unit at Tullyallen School
As is normal in Drogheda in June, next week sees the resumption of the delightful Trishaw service run by the Drogheda & District Support 4 Older People.
This free Trishaw service, which takes people from Dominic’s Park to Oldbridge House and back, was originally intended just for older people but it is now being made available to other community groups.
For any further information or to book please contact Drogheda & District Support 4 Older People on 1800 200 100 or 041 9847764 or 086 377 2777 or call into the office at 7 The Haymarket A92H317.
Meanwhile, the trishaws will be out again on this bank holiday Monday afternoon to accompany a charity walk being organised by Rita Scullion to raise funds for the autism unit at Tullyallen School.
Rita told Drogheda Life that the response has been phenomenal and there is already a considerable sum of money in the coffers which will go towards the cost of sensory aids and special outings for the children.
Last year the event attracted 25 participants but Rita says she is hoping for more this time around.
The walk will start at Dominic’s park at 3.00pm and proceed to Oldbridge House and then return to the park. People can just turn up on the day and pay a donation to take part.
