Drogheda poems for Ukraine written in the Staaar Baaas

The Drogheda Creative Writers Group are preparing to mark Poetry Ireland Day on Thursday, April 28 by running a benefit performance in aid of the Irish Red Cross Ukrainian Appeal in Highlanes Gallery from 2.30 to 4.00pm.

Can we ever know what’s coming down the line?  Why not find out what our poets from Drogheda Creative Writers on Poetry Day Ireland 2022 find in the tea leaves at the bottom of their cup or in a dream?

Can their poems determine your destiny or their own by turning a tarot card?  What do they see when they gaze at the sky at night?

Travel with them on this journey with the staaars.  Experience a galaxy of poets in Drogheda shining a ray of light with their words. Be Bold.

Be inspired as they tempt you with their crystal balls, performing sparkling verses for you to enjoy and contemplate.

Among the staaa gazers are Marian Clark, Roger and Sheila Hudson, Brian Quinn, Emer Davis, Dawn and Larry Staudt, Des Parkinson, Marguerita Sampson, Marie Lyons, Maria Sheehan and Marie MacSweeney.

They hope it will be in your stars to join them at Highlanes Gallery on 28th April. Admission for this very worthy cause is just five euros.

Drogheda Creative Writers meet in The Living Room at Sarsfields Pub, on the Cord Road in Drogheda on the 2nd and 4th Monday evenings of each month at 7.30pm.  Open to the public, free of charge, all writers and listeners are welcome.  They also meet on the first Saturday of each month at the Augustinian Garden of Remembrance, Drogheda from 2.30-4.00pm.
