Tomorrow, the first of July, is a date that Drogheda’s LGBTQ community has been looking forward to for ages because it’s the start of Pride month.
Drogheda LGBTQ Support Group and Drogheda Pride have been very busy bees for the last few months getting ready for Drogheda Pride.
Like almost everything else this year Drogheda Pride is mostly a virtual affair but hopefully there will also be some outdoor events to be enjoyed.
At midday tomorrow (July 1) the Drogheda Pride team will be at the Barbican Centre William Street to distribute pride flags to local businesses wishing to support Drogheda Pride Month.
An hour later Drogheda Pride will officially launch their postcard at 1pm at Laurence Gate to officially open Drogheda pride month.
On Friday evening 2nd of July there will be a Mental Health Awareness workshop delivered by the good people at Sosad Ireland.
For many the highlight of this weekend will be take place on Saturday 3rd of July when LGBTQ iconic Dj Nik Sg will be performing live on the Drogheda Pride Facebook page.
