Drogheda Credit Union have won two National awards for marketing at the All Ireland Credit Union Awards.
The awards, for Best Marketing Initiative and Social Dividend Initiative of the Year (Social Impact Award), were presented at a ceremony in Dublin last weekend.
Furthermore, Board Director Geraldine Gilsenan was nominated and shortlisted for the Lifetime Achievement award at the event.
Geraldine’s passion for the Credit Union is evident through her commitment and work with Drogheda Credit Union and the Irish League of Credit Unions.
Tom Kiely, CEO, Drogheda Credit Union said: “We are delighted to win the Best Marketing Initiative award for a second year running. The Mortgage Masterclass campaign was important to us and we are very proud of it.
“All departments across our organisation put a lot of effort into the campaign. The objective was to create a platform for discussion and information on mortgages while ensuring the Credit Union mortgage offering was front and centre.”

Drogheda Credit Union also won the Social Dividend Initiative of the Year (Social Impact Award) for their work on the Money Club initiative which was rolled out to primary schools early last year.
“Creating healthy savings habits and developing savings goals from a young age was the main objective of the project.
“We are looking forward to continuing our work with the local schools across Drogheda, Dunleer, East Meath and Trim over the next year.” Said Patricia White, Marketing & Business Development Manager.
