Autism Dogs and Dunleer Tidy Towns the latest to benefit from Credit Union Community Fund
Drogheda Credit Union is calling for local organisations and charities in Drogheda, Dunleer, Monasterboice, Trim and East Meath to apply for funding from its Community Fund Programme.
It has been another challenging year for charities and organisations with increased running costs and limited options for fundraising. Drogheda Credit Union hopes to continue to be a much-welcomed boost to local groups and charities.
The Community Fund programme, which has an annual budget of €10,000, is set aside for community groups within the branch areas of Drogheda, Dunleer, Monasterboice, Trim and East Meath.
The most recent Community Fund donations were received by Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland for €500 and Dunleer Tidy Town Committee for €750.
“Sharing resources is at the heart of Drogheda Credit Union and we look forward to working with many of the local organisations within our community over the coming year.” said Tom Kiely, CEO, Drogheda Credit Union
The Community Fund committee meets monthly and donation requests are considered during each meeting. There is no maximum amount a club can apply for; each donation is considered on its own merit.
Organisations looking to avail of the Community Programme can apply by emailing a donation support letter to info@droghedacu.ie or drop in a request directly to their local branch.
