Does anyone have a line marking machine that they could donate to the Drogheda and District Men’s Shed?
The shed members took up the sport of walking football recently and it has proved very popular but they have one little problem – they can’t tell whether a ball is in or out because they have no machine to mark the lines.
“The excitement and the craic is electric” said the Shed’s PRO Eugene Clinton. “However we’re appealing to any individual or club who might have a pitch marking machine that’s unused or that might be in need of some TLC could they donate it to our Shed.
“There are some seriously good players and many more who came to join in. It all happens on the Shed’s own football pitch which is located in their grounds on the Donore Road, right next to Roadstone quarry.
“We can guarantee it a new lease of life and it will serve the senior community well into the future.
“New members are always very welcome to join our community. Just drop in anytime and check out our amenities. 9.00 am/1.30 Monday through Friday.”
