Investment available for small infrastructural projects in rural areas experiencing disadvantage
Louth County Council has announced the opening of the CLÁR programme for Expressions of Interest from groups living within the CLÁR area.
CLÁR is a targeted investment programme for rural areas that aims to provide funding for small infrastructural projects in areas that experience disadvantage.
The aim of CLÁR is to support the sustainable development of identified CLÁR areas in order to attract people to live and work there.
The funding works in conjunction with local/Agency and other Departmental funding programmes and on the basis of locally identified priorities.
Cathaoirleach of Louth County Council, Conor Keelan urged groups to participate – “I urge groups in the CLÁR area in the county to submit Expressions of Interest for projects that will make a positive impact in their community”.
Chief Executive Officer of Louth County Council, Joan Martin, added – “The CLÁR programme provides funding opportunities for small scale projects that can result in significant benefits for the recipient communities and surrounding areas”.
The CLÁR 2023 Funding Scheme is now open for Expressions of Interest from schools, community and voluntary groups and local development companies located in the CLÁR area in County Louth.
