Cadbury brings back Dairy Milk wrappers from across the years to celebrate 200 years

Here’s a sweet little story – the nation’s favourite chocolate brand, Cadbury, is bringing back some of its most iconic packaging to celebrate being a part of the nation’s shared memories for 200 years and to raise funds for the Alzheimer Society of Ireland.

The 180g Limited Edition Cadbury Dairy Milk Bars are available in seven different collectable designs, featuring packaging from as far back as 1915 until the present day.

Each and every generation should be able to recognise the Cadbury Dairy Milk bar they saw on store shelves when growing up, with the inside of each pack illustrated with special artwork documenting some of Cadbury’s milestone moments.

Throughout the decades, Cadbury has been with us throughout every day and seasonal moment, even popping out of our 99 ice cream cones on the beach. It’s the brand behind our favourite selection boxes, as well as the Cadbury Dairy Milk we unwind with on the sofa. Tastes we’ve known for generations which have long been a part of our rich cultural history and our day-to-day lives over generations.

But the brand’s impact over the decades extends far beyond just creating delicious treats. Driven by a foundational spirit of generosity and kindness, Cadbury has helped nurture local communities and economies by investing in its factories, sites and employees across Ireland.

To mark this iconic campaign, Cadbury is partnering with The Alzheimer Society of Ireland and donating €20,000 to support dementia-specific services across communities in Ireland.

Details of the partnership can be found on the Limited Edition Cadbury Dairy Milk Bars, directing people to the charity’s website to find out more about supporting their work. In doing so, Cadbury hopes to drive awareness around the fantastic work the charity does in helping to keep treasured memories alive for longer.

The Alzheimer Society of Ireland’s Head of Fundraising, Mairéad Dillon said: “The team at The Alzheimer Society of Ireland is very excited to be a part of this milestone celebration which will help to raise awareness of dementia in our communities and raise much-needed funds for continued support.

“Thank you, Cadbury, for choosing The Alzheimer Society of Ireland as your partner for this milestone anniversary event. This is a very special campaign, and we are very excited, and we encourage everyone in the community to show their support for people who are impacted by dementia.

“In Ireland, it is estimated that 64,000 people are living with dementia, and this figure is predicted to rise to 150,000 by 2045. There are 500,000 Irish people whose families have been affected by dementia.

“The Alzheimer Society of Ireland provides vital dementia-specific services including Day Care, Day Care at Home and Home Care and funds raised from this initiative will help to keep these services going. We are very grateful for everyone’s support.”
