As Chair of the Drogheda Joint Policing Committee, Councillor James Byrne says he is delighted to hear that €125,000 in grant funding is to be allocated to community groups in Drogheda.
“Seeing the proceeds of crime put directly back into the town is another step in the healing process following the major feud that has terrorised the people of Drogheda in recent years” Cllr. Byrne said.
Grants of up to €20,000 are available to local groups for innovative projects and initiatives that respond to issues identified in the Geiran Report or actions in the Drogheda Report Implementation Plan.
The fund will open for applications tomorrow Monday, 27th February and close at 5pm on Friday, 31st March.
To give as many groups as possible the opportunity to access this funding €50,000 has been ringfenced for small grants of €2,000 – €5,000.
Further information, application forms and guidance notes are available on the website droghedaimplementationboard.ie . An online information session will be held on Monday, 13th March at 2pm and places for this can be booked on the website.
