Businesses asked to fly the flag as Outcomers celebrate Pride 2022

Outcomers and LGBT+ youth groups in Louth, Meath, Cavan and Monaghan are seeking your support to give visibility to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community across the North East region by flying the flag for LGBT+ Visibility.

They are inviting business owners and service providers around the counties to join the celebration by placing a rainbow flag in their front windows to create visibility and representation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender people in Louth, Meath, Cavan and Monaghan and to keep the flags flying for the month of July, to encompass Pride events across the region.

Flags can be requested for free from Outcomers through flags@outcomers.org or 042 932 9816.

The rainbow flag flies above Drogheda Garda Station during last year’s pride.

They are also asking each business and service flying the flag to take a photograph and send it to flags@outcomers.org  and they will share it on their Instagram page @proudinthenortheast.

Outcomers have been celebrating PRIDE in person for fourteen years but for the last two years they couldn’t celebrate pride in public, due to Covid, which is why “Proud in Louth” happened across Louth.

Due to the success of Proud in Louth, they are now spreading this splash of colour across all four counties in the North East – Louth, Cavan, Monaghan and Meath.
