Boxers Celebrate Multiple Titles at Armagh and Down Open and Dublin Leagues

Six boxers from the club recently competed in the Armagh and Down Open, gaining valuable experience and achieving a number of strong results.

Charlie Flannagan moved up a weight division and faced an All Ireland Champion in the semi final. Although he produced a strong opening round, the bout did not go his way on the day, but it provided valuable experience.

Sasha Donica delivered an impressive performance in his final against opposition from Gilford, winning all three rounds to be crowned Armagh and Down Open Champion 2025 by unanimous decision.

Young Stanley Lavery made his competitive debut for the club and was crowned champion after a strong display against an opponent from Craigavon.

Conan McCormack faced an All Ireland Champion from Corpus Christi Boxing Club in his final. It proved to be a very competitive contest with a split decision ultimately going to his opponent, but Conan earned great credit for his performance.

Adam Walsh continued his excellent form with another strong display to secure the Armagh and Down 2025 title for a second year in a row.

Cian Smyth also impressed in his bout against an Ulster Champion from Camlough Boxing Club and was declared Armagh and Down Open Champion for a second consecutive year following a unanimous decision victory.

The finals of the Dublin Leagues, which were held over several months during midweek fixtures, also concluded recently.

Jamie Campbell produced two excellent wins during the competition to become Dublin League Champion 2026 after stopping his Balbriggan opponent in the final.

Adam Walsh was again successful, winning his section and two strong bouts to claim gold and continue his run of form with victory in the final.

Conan McCormack also secured gold after winning his final against Balbriggan opposition by unanimous decision, marking his first title for the club.

Ceejay Sheelan performed strongly throughout the competition and earned a silver medal after a closely contested final against Cherry Orchard.

Cian Smyth delivered another standout performance, defeating a Dublin Champion and All Ireland finalist in his final to be crowned Dublin Leagues Champion 2025.

Irish Kinahan and Roisin Evans both performed well in their finals against Dublin opposition and returned home with silver medals.

Current All Ireland Champion Cara Evans was also declared champion by way of walkover.

Club officials congratulated all boxers, coaches and parents for their efforts and support across the two championships. Attention now turns to the upcoming Leinster Championships.
