The Newtown Blues GFC are looking at alternative activities to keep their young members engaged, active and fit during these challenging times.
They are now providing on-line training sessions for all underage members from nursery through to 17-year-olds and it is proving very popular.
“In the past week we will have engaged with close to 150 of our underage members and this number is increasing all the time” said the Blues’ Coaching Officer, Paul Carr.
“We are also very conscious that there may be young people out there that are not be members of a sporting organisation or may be considering joining our club but are unaware that we are active (albeit in a different way).
They have have set-up an email address newtownbluesnewmembers@gmail.com where anyone interested in getting involved can get in touch.
“Once we have the age details of the child, we can redirect to the relevant on-line training group” Paul said.
