Drogheda and East Meath Fianna Fáil Councillor Stephen McKee says he is pleased with the road resurfacing works that have taken place in Ard Rí, Drogheda but he is asking that further work takes place to finish the job.
McKee stated; “Following extensive lobbying I made on behalf of Ard Ri residents, Capital Funding was made available by Meath County Council to address the poor condition of the roads within Ard Rí.
“I am pleased that road resurfacing work has taken place through the estate over the last couple of weeks.
“Further work is required however and the Council have confirmed to me that they will now seek additional funding.
“It is important that all roads within the estate are resurfaced as necessary.
“I was pleased to have successfully lobbied for the road resurfacing work carried out in neighbouring Rosevale a few years ago so the road works in Ard Rí are long overdue.
“I will keep the pressure on to ensure all necessary works are included as part of the scheme” he concluded.
