Anne Reilly, the CEO and founder of the Drogheda based payroll services company Paycheck Plus, has been elected to the National Council of the Irish Small and Medium Enterprises Association (ISME) for the 2021-2023 term.
Anne is one of 15 women on the 27 person new council, the first female majority since the organisation’s inception in 1993.
ISME is the only independent representative association for small and medium enterprises in Ireland. It is a not-for-profit organisation that is owned, funded and run by SME owners and managers. The National Council is made up of elected SME proprietors from various industries and sectors from across Ireland.
Following the announcement Anne said “I am delighted to have been elected to ISME’s National Council and look forward to supporting other SMEs in any way that I can.
“It is great to be part of such an eclectic, dynamic and diverse group. I am humbled and honoured to be part of such a great team and I am relishing the prospect of what we can achieve.”

“I am also passionate about female entrepreneurship, particularly in helping start-ups. So I am particularly looking forward to representing ISME members on payroll issues in the future.”
Anne founded Paycheck Plus in 2005 with a view to providing payroll expertise and information via a premium payroll outsource service tailored to meet her clients’ requirements.
Her industry knowledge and know-how stems from her days lecturing with the Irish Payroll Association (IPASS), running her award-winning businesses and from her work with blue-chip companies such as Unilever and Heinz.
Anne has received numerous individual accolades including Businesswoman of the Year and Best Leader Awards. She has also ranked on the Rewards 300, an index of leading lights across the payroll profession, for the last four years.
Anne is a strong advocate for personal and professional development and is currently studying for a Masters in Business Practice with the IMI.
