Despite the Covid Restrictions Autism Support Louth&Meath have continued to expand the range of activities for children, teenagers and young adults with Autism.
In addition to their four weekly youth clubs they also have a weekly Zoom Quiz, Drumming workshops and Sibling Workshops. (Links below to the next dates.)
Autism Support Louth&Meath are delighted to welcome Maeve O’Sullivan onto the team as Activity Co-ordinator. This role is to both facilitate additional activities at Autism Support Louth&Meath in ABACAS, Congress Ave and also to partner with other organisations to provide or enable autism friendly activities.
As a first step towards this they are inviting as many people as possible to complete the attached very short survey to try and establish the activites most requested in this area.
“We would ask as many parents of children, teenagers or young adults with autism or indeed the autistic person themselves complete the attached survey” said a spokesperson.

Upcoming Events
Sibling Workshops
On Saturday November 20th and again on December 11th the group is running sibling workshop for brothers and sisters of children with special needs. Age range 7 – 14. Facilitated by a trained Drama Therapist
These workshops are opportunities for brothers and sisters of children with special health and developmental needs to obtain peer support and education within a recreational context.
They are described as “lively, pedal-to-the-metal celebrations of the many contributions made by brothers and sisters of children with special needs.”
They acknowledge that being the brother or sister of a person with special needs is for some a good thing, others a not-so-good thing, and for many somewhere in between.
