Entries sought for Coca-Cola 5K on Tuesday December 28
Ace Athletics club are to host their third annual Coca-Cola 5K R-Ace, on Tuesday December 28th.
“Founded in January 2019, Ace are the youngest athletics club in the town of Drogheda but have rapidly grown in size over the last three years” spokesperson Anne-Marie Garcia said.
“Despite the ongoing challenges posed by COVID, we continue to deliver incredible success on the county, provincial, national and even international level, with one of our athletes making captain of the Irish team in August this year.
The club is currently without its own facilities however so they launched a very ambitious fundraising campaign earlier this year, to purchase a permanent home for its young members and ultimately secure its long term future.
“The annual Coca-Cola 5K R-Ace is a key pillar of that fundraising programme” Anne-Marie said.
“The event on the morning of December 28th is targeting runners, joggers and walkers of all levels, aimed at connecting family and friends and the running community young and old over the Christmas period.”
