Drogheda Creative Writers are honoured to welcome a very special guest speaker, Yuyutsu RD Sharma, a world renowned Himalayan poet and translator to their meeting in The Living Room, Sarsfields Bar on Monday October 25th at 7.30 pm.
Yuyutsu is a “big star in the world of poetry”, as described by well-travelled group member Emer Davis, who we have to thank for asking us if we would be interested in hosting him.
Emer will be reading with him in Dublin on the 22nd of October. Yuyutsu travels the world and has read in the most prestigious places, Poetry Cafe London, Seamus Heaney Centre for poetry, the list is endless. He has facilitated workshops in Queens University, and the University of California, to name just two.
Yuyutsu is travelling Ireland for ten days prior to taking up his residency in Columbia University. Drogheda Creative Writers are fortunate indeed to have a once in a lifetime chance in hosting such a guest.
