Have Your Say: Active Louth Public Consultation Launches

Louth County Council, in partnership with Sector 3 Solutions, has launched Active Louth Online Surveys to gather local views on outdoor recreation, sports facilities and play opportunities across the county.

Residents can take part in four short surveys, available on the council’s website, social media channels, or by emailing activelouth@louthcoco.ie.

To ensure as many voices as possible are heard, a series of drop-in consultation events will also be held:

Ardee Parish Centre – Monday, 1 September, 5–7pm

Barbican Centre, Drogheda – Thursday, 4 September, 5–7pm

Dundalk Sports Centre – Tuesday, 9 September, 5–7pm

Cathaoirleach Cllr Seán Kelly urged locals to get involved: “We all know how important it is to have places where we can get out, get active and connect with others. Active Louth is about ensuring those opportunities are available to everyone. Your views will help shape the future of recreation in our county.”

Council Chief Executive David Conway added that the initiative aims to create safe, inclusive spaces for all ages:”Whether it’s a child in a playground, a teenager in sports, or an older person out walking – being active strengthens our communities. We want to hear from as many people as possible.”

The feedback gathered will guide future investment and planning to make County Louth a more active, inclusive and connected place to live.
