Individual provincial medal for young Ace athlete Caoimhe

The Leinster B Championships took place in Stradbally, Laois at the weekend with athletes from all over the province competing.

The event was open to any athlete who didn’t win medals in last year’s provincial championships. Medals were awarded to the top 12 athletes.

Caoimhe Carolan proved yet again what a determined runner she is.  In a very fast 1000m U11 race, Caoimhe won an individual provincial medal, finishing in 10th place.

Team mate Hannah Black ran out of age in the girls u13 1500m race and ran very well with a very strong finish. Both girls did their club proud.

Elsewhere Rhys Clarke who is enjoying a great run of form, participated in the Fitzers 5k and secured a new personal best time of 18.44.
