The lecture programme concludes on Thursday, 19th November at 7pm, with historian and author Ian McBride discussing his book The Origins of the Northern Ireland Peace Process: Self-Determination, Consent and the Downing Street Declaration.

‘An exceptionally interesting series’

County Museum curator Brian Walsh said the November programme would explore how history continues to influence modern life.

“This lecture series cuts to the heart of who we are and the events that have shaped us to this day,” he said.

“Each talk will explain our past, how this influences our daily lives and will help guide us as we look to plan the future. It promises to be an exceptionally interesting series.”

All events are free, but advance booking is essential.

Reservations can be made by contacting County Museum Dundalk on 042 939 2999.

Online booking through Eventbrite for the evening lecture series will be available from Thursday, 22nd October.
