Taylor Gregory steals the show for Ace

It was a wonderful weekend for Ace AC at the annual even age Louth cross-country championships in Bellurgan on Sunday.

The day started brilliantly with the girls under 10 team securing a Louth silver team medal after great performances from Saibh Jordan, Catryn Cumming, Muireann Chammas, and Clara Plunkett. (With both Clara and Catryn still only U9)

U10 Darragh Cisse only ran his first ever race last week and had another great performance finishing 5th.

The star of the day was Taylor Gregory who finished third in the under 14 boys on his Ace AC Cross country debut. Taylor has been making huge strides at training and turned in a great performance in a very strong field of 24 Athletes.

 

Taylor captained the Ace AC u14 boys team to Louth team gold. The team included Tayo Lawernce, Seamie Sheridan, Adam Cumming, Alfie Marron, Samuel Plunkett and Covey Volkoff.

In the older age groups Lauren Faulkner secured bronze in the u16 girls while u18 Niall Murray’s winning streak continued with another medal, this time a Louth silver. Rhys Clarke & Fergus Nolan again battled it out in the same u18 race with Clarke coming out on top and securing Louth bronze.

 

 

Eimear Cooney and Ciara O’Connor both had great performances and finished 2nd and 3rd respectively in the girls u18 race.

 

Danny Nugent secured a Louth Senior 3rd with a very strong performance. Cliodhna Nolan was 9th in the ladies Seniors. 

 

There were many other good Ace AC performances on the day, with one of the best coming from u12 girl Ella Doyle running in her first ever race.
