Irish Heart Foundation mobile health unit coming to Ardee

The Irish Heart Foundation’s Mobile Health Unit will visit Louth next week as part of a nationwide campaign offering free heart health checks in communities across Ireland.

The unit will be in Ardee on Monday, June 15, and will be located at Dee Hub (A92 Y590) from 9.30am to 2.15pm.

Members of the public are invited to avail of free blood pressure and pulse checks, helping to promote heart health and support the early detection of hypertension, or high blood pressure, which is a leading cause of cardiovascular disease.

The Mobile Health Unit provides up to 10,000 free blood pressure checks each year and aims to identify people who may be living with hypertension without knowing it.

During the checks, expert nurses will also offer advice on healthy lifestyles and maintaining good heart health.
