With just over a week to go, anticipation is building for the return of the Drogheda Motor Show, set against a striking new backdrop at the historic West Gate, by the Old Abbey.
From the echo of hoofprints along medieval streets to the quiet hum of today’s electric engines, Drogheda has always been a place where movement shapes history. This June, that story comes alive once again.
Positioned beside the Old Abbey, founded in 1206 as a place of care and refuge, this historic quarter has witnessed centuries of transformation, from horse-drawn carts to the industrious rhythm of the town’s linen makers. Now, it becomes the stage for the next chapter in mobility.
On Saturday, 13th June, from 10am to 4pm, the 16th annual Drogheda Motor Show will bring together 20 leading manufacturers, showcasing the latest in cars, vans and electric vehicles, all in the heart of Drogheda.
But this is far more than a motor show.
Visitors can expect a vibrant, family-friendly day filled with live music, street performers, facepainting, dancers and a magician, alongside a local craft market inside the Dominican Church.
A key highlight will be a road safety fireside chat, hosted by Shane O’Donoghue of CompleteCar.ie, exploring road safety, EVs and the future of mobility, reinforcing the event’s strong commitment to safer roads and informed driving.
Robert Doran, Director at Jack Doran Motors, says:
“With the new venue, we’ve got the perfect space to introduce the latest tech in vehicles, helping to refresh the local fleet and make driving safer and smoother for everyone. We encourage everyone to come down to the town centre and experience all these fantastic models in one place on the day.”
At its core, the event reflects the spirit of Brand New Drive, where innovation, community and heritage come together.
Where cutting-edge vehicles stand where craftsmen once worked, and where families gather for a day of discovery, creativity and connection.
The Drogheda Motor Show is free to attend and proudly supported by First Citizen Finance, Drogheda & District Chamber, Louth County Council, the Society of the Irish Motor Industry, and the LHK Group.
