Ballymakenny College Students Set for State Exams as Some Families Double Up on Study

As State Examinations begin today across the country, households are busy making final preparations, with students putting the finishing touches to revision, organising exam timetables, and preparing for the weeks ahead. At Ballymakenny College, more than 330 students will sit their Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate examinations, beginning with English. While these students are understandably feeling the pressure, many are not the only ones in their homes getting ready for the challenge.

This year, a remarkable 25 Ballymakenny College students are sharing the State Exam experience with a brother or sister, creating double the study notes, double the exam timetables and, undoubtedly, double the stress for parents and caregivers.

The families with siblings sitting State Exams this year are: Ava & Reece Tully, DJ & Kevin Culligan, Matthew & Jacob Dunlevy, Millie & Ollie Carroll, Lucy & Millie O’Connallain, Ronan, Ryan & Aaron O’Shaughnessy, Ross & Ben Irwin, Tadhg & Charlie Flanagan, Jonathan & Josiah Alohan, Alisha & Cillian Coleman, Brandon & Jack Boland, Victoria & Adam Yang

As the first exam papers are opened today, the Ballymakenny College community wishes all students success, confidence and calmness in the weeks ahead.
