Students Shine in Our Lady’s College Greenhills Production of Fame Jr.

Our Lady’s College Greenhills delivered a standout production of Fame Jr. this January, impressing audiences with an energetic and polished performance staged in the school.

Preparations for the musical began in September, with weeks of rehearsals involving student actors, singers and dancers who worked hard to refine every aspect of the show. In the lead up to opening night, the school was filled with activity as students learned lines, practised songs and perfected choreography.

Behind the scenes, student crews played a crucial role in bringing the production together. Teams working on sound, lighting, props, sets, costumes and stage management showed huge commitment and organisation, helping to ensure the show ran smoothly and professionally.

Fame Jr., inspired by the iconic film Fame, is known for its high energy performances and its portrayal of ambition within the performing arts. The story follows a group of young performers as they navigate the pressures and challenges of pursuing success in a demanding creative environment.

The TY production focused on Carmen Diaz, a driven student with dreams of international fame, alongside fellow characters Tyrone Jackson and Iris Kelly. Through music, dance and drama, the cast captured both the excitement and the realities of artistic ambition as they prepared for the Junior Festival.

The production highlighted not only the impressive talent within Our Lady’s College Greenhills, but also the teamwork, creativity and dedication of its students, making Fame Jr. one of the school’s highlights of the year.
