M+L Manufacturing is celebrating 50 years of innovation, growth and community impact. Founded in 1975 by well-known local businessman and former Mayor of Drogheda, the late Jimmy Mulroy, the company has grown from a modest operation into a globally recognised, family-run business based in Boyne Business Park, Greenhills.
Over five decades, M+L Manufacturing has become a major employer in the north east, committed to technical excellence, quality manufacturing and supporting local employment in Drogheda and the wider region. The company designs, manufactures, installs, commissions and maintains medium-voltage and low-voltage switchgear and electrical power distribution systems, serving industries including healthcare, IT, pharmaceuticals, data centres, financial services, government and education.
Now led by the second generation of the Mulroy family, M+L continues to uphold the values established by its founder, focusing on integrity, reliability and commitment to both customers and employees.
Speaking about the milestone, company director and son of Jimmy Mulroy, Cormac Mulroy, said the 50th anniversary is a proud moment for the family and the team. He highlighted that the company’s growth into one of the region’s leading employers is a testament to the vision of his father and the dedication of the people behind the business. He added that the expertise and loyalty of the team have been key to M+L’s success and that the company is excited about the opportunities ahead.
As it celebrates half a century in business, M+L Manufacturing remains focused on sustainable growth, innovation and maintaining its role as a trusted provider of critical power solutions in Ireland and internationally. The anniversary not only marks a significant company milestone but also recognises the lasting legacy of Jimmy Mulroy and the ongoing dedication of the team that drives the company forward every day.
