Irish Water and Louth County Council are warning of possible water outages in multiple areas of Drogheda for short periods from 8:00pm tomorrow, Thursday 18 February until 8:00am on Friday 19 February.
While works are ongoing customers in the following locations may experience low water pressure and/or water outages:
Rope Walk, Bolton Street, Bolton Square, Greenlanes, Magdalene Street, Sundays Gate, William Street, Church Lane, Paradise Place, King Street, Francis Street, Hardmans Gardens, Lourdes Square, Scarlet Street, Oulsters Lane, Bothar Brugha, John Paul Court, Sraid na Cille, Pearse Park, Scarlet Crescent, Sandyford Terrace, Marian Close, Thomas Street, Prospect Avenue, Nuns Walk, Newfoundwell Road, Hand Street, Maple Drive, Stoney Lane, Bredin Street, Crushrod Lane, Glenmore Drive, Glenview, Drogheda and surrounding areas.
It may take 2-3 hours for normal water supply to return to all customers but it is important to continue to follow the HSE guidance on hand-washing.
Irish Water and Louth County Council understands the inconvenience caused when leak detection works occur and thanks customers for their patience while they complete these essential works and restore normal supply to impacted customers, they regret any inconvenience caused.
