“Right, time for a bit of nonsense and absurd nonsense at that” said our favourite clown, musician and bingo caller Kieran Gallagher earlier today in a text.
Kieran is a great laugh but he’s not so great at the auld technology so he sent the message three times. To be sure, to be sure, to be sure that we got it.
Kieran is a member of the world famous, the one and only Absurdist Pipe Band who have graced the streets of many a town during festivals and fleads but have been enduring an enforced silence of late.
Just as nature abhors a vacuum, Kieran and his fellow Absurdist Pipe Band members hate not being allowed to do their thing so they have launched their brand spanking new shiny release entitled “Last Clown on the Shelf.”
The video looks at how the band has been spending this last year with the severe lack of festivals going on they have been really missing the opportunity to entertain.
They’re really missing the honking and squeaking. They’ve really missed following folk around the streets and generally getting up to their usual mischief. They’ve missed us and we have certainly missed them.
However they do feel that things are beginning to look up. As the song says, they are just waiting until the powers that be “find them some big pricks.” (We are assured they are referring to vaccinations.) So they can get back out on the road.
So, if you are in the need of a giggle, here’s 4minutes and 10 seconds of an antidote to this pandemic to help get you through it. hope you have a great big giggle
