Dr. Augustine Pereira, Director of Public Health for HSE North East, and Dr. Peter Finnegan, Consultant in Public Health Medicine and Co-lead for COVID Response in Workplaces, will represent HSE North East on the webinar and speak on current best practices in minimising the spread and risk of COVID-19 for businesses of all types, along with providing the opportunity for attendees to ask questions and seek advice related to their specific requirements.

Drogheda & District Chamber has strongly encouraged as many local businesses as possible to attend.

Chamber President Robert Murray said, “It is vitally important that our local business community is fully aware and educated about the evolving risks of COVID-19 as we enter a new phase of relative relaxation as regards restrictions on trading and doing business.

“The re-start and re-growth of the local economy is central to the overall recovery of our community in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, and businesses have a huge role to play not only in the return to normal living, but also in the ongoing containment of COVID-19 cases.

“We welcome the HSE Public Health North East’s initiative to deliver this webinar to our local businesses and will be doing all we can in the coming day to maximise awareness of the event to ensure as many businesses attend as possible.”

Dr. Augustine Pereira commented, “The recent re-opening of commercial activities, combined with our increasing understanding and knowledge of COVID-19, presents a timely opportunity for us to equip local businesses with the latest, up-to-date information and best practices on how the risk of COVID-19 transmission in the workplace can be minimised.

“We thank Drogheda & District Chamber for working with us to invite and encourage as many local businesses as possible to attend this webinar, which will be a vital tool with which businesses can effectively arm themselves in the fight against COVID-19.”
