Drogheda Cottage Market reopening this Saturday

Five years to the day since it was first founded, the Drogheda Cottage Market is reopening following the Covid-enforced closure in St Peters Church of Ireland Parish Hall this coming Saturday, June 5th.

During the last five years this treasure trove of local talent is proud to have supported over 200 local makers. They have grown from the inside by supporting one another and providing a unique shopping experience for our town.

To celebrate they are running a competition on their social media platforms with lunch on them at The Cottage Market on June 5th

“We have an incredible selection of food and craft stalls selected this month” said market organiser and founder Eimear Cullen, adding that they had over 60 applications to trade on the reopening day.

“Among those selling their wares on the day will be: Silly Sid’s with their Coffee and Toastie truck and of course their amazing rolled ice-cream, Blasta Street Kitchen with their award winning Mexican food, Nitro Ground a new venture from Monaghan selling nitrogen infused coffee and Kombucha.

“Also there will be The Cider Mill and their amazing selection of local Cider and Apple juice, Eimear Street food snacks , chutneys and sauces, Cook with Ann Gluten free delights, breads and savoury tarts . Kostas Cretan Olive oil, honey ,oregano and olives

“New comers The Pantryist with their amazing sweet treat snack ball range and The Buddha Home Bakery will have their wide selection of cakes, focaccia breads, homemade granola and lots more.

“Among the fabulous selection of local crafters joining us from all over the Boyne Valley area will be:, Boyne Crafts and Gifts, Moo Moo Knits , Little Sewing Tree ,Mark Delany wood turned creations , Marlese Made Jewellery , Margaret Walsh Design studio ,  Bee Natural , Serendipity, Bridgit’s Mantle,  Bespoke Art by Sideline Arts and Noella Manley , candles by Emma’s Soy candles , Vickys little Book worms , Windmill Willow ,  Buttercup Fabrics, ID Ireland , Mudlark ceramic’s, Seomradeas , Vinyl Dayz, Thirty-three 45, Pickle Jar Posies and lots more.  A Massive thank you to our sponsor The Drogheda Credit Union for their ongoing support.
