Drogheda Homeless Aid seeks new manager

Drogheda Homeless Aid (DHA) provides accommodation, care and support for the growing number of people who experience homelessness within our community.  DHA have a 22 bed hostel and 9 transitional and long term housing. DHA are currently seeking a 

Manager 

The Manager’s role is to provide clear leadership, develop and implement strategic and operational planning, to deliver the mission, vision and values of the organisation and is proactive and positively advocates for the Charity and its beneficiaries. 

The organisation is committed to building an environment and culture where all staff and service users feel valued, are treated fairly and respected. 

Person Specification

  • A minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s Degree (level 8) in community development studies, homelessness & housing or other social sciences related fields;
  • Five years’ work experience in a senior management role in community, voluntary or social care;
  • Practical skills and knowledge of governance regulations and legislation in the public/charity sector;
  • Prior experience with programme and/or project management and budget development in the public/charity sector;
  • Prior experience of contributing to the development of opportunities and improvement of services within the public/charity sector;
  • Knowledge of effective HR practices as well as motivational and coaching skills;
  • Knowledge of GDPR, Health & Safety and other relative legislation pertaining to the post.
