Four days of spooky fun at Boomerang’s “Nightmare On Fair Street”

Anthony Murphy from the social media team at the Boomerang Youth Club and Café has been in touch to tell us about their “A Nightmare On Fair Street” events running from the 26th to the 29th of this month (that’s October in case you’ve lost track of time during Covid).

Anthony tells us that on Tuesday next, October 26th, there’s a day of Creative writing when you can “…embrace your inner Edgar Allan Poe by creating your very own Halloween Haiku*.

On Wednesday 27th you can learn how to create a stop-motion horror scenes on video and then add spooky sound effects and edit them to go with the stop-motion.

On Thursday the 28th there’s a day of trick or treat cooking when they will be offering a day of cooking with a Halloween Twist

Each of these days run from 11am-3pm and cost €5 per day.

On Friday the 29th there’ll be Ghost walks to celebrate the spooky history of Drogheda, a Halloween disco and a “Lost Pirates Escape room” for just €2 – try and escape if you can.

Junior’s 4-6pm, Seniors 7-9pm

*The haiku is a form of Japanese poetry that consists of three lines, with five syllables in the first line, seven in the second, and five in the third. (We had to Google that.)
