Who says soccer is all about the money? During the pandemic when League of Ireland football was played behind closed doors, Drogheda United made a commitment to open the gates of Head In The Game Park to all, for free, once safe to do so.
True to their word, the club are now inviting the people of Drogheda to come and watch the Drogs for no charge, this Friday, 4th March, against UCD at 7.45pm.
The gesture is one of two things, a thank you for the support the club has received on and off the pitch throughout the pandemic and a celebration that live Premier Division Football is back.
Drogheda United is particularly welcoming frontline workers this Friday in recognition of the trojan effort they have all put in over the last two years.
