Mosney Village have won the Best Community Health Initiative award at the All-Ireland Community and Council Awards 2021 which took place on Saturday 9 April 2022 sponsored by Healthy Ireland.
“Having been nominated in two categories at the prestigious All Ireland awards ceremony in the categories of ‘Best Business Working with the Community’ and ‘Best Health Initiative’, it was an honour to receive the award and recognition” said a spokesperson.
Collecting the award on behalf of all the team at Mosney Village were Adrian Gates, CEO and Sarah Gates, Director.
Speaking at the event, Adrian Gates commented, “Mosney Village has created a template that has proved to be very successful in meeting the physical and psychological needs of our multi-national community”.
Mosney Village is set in 80 acres of open green space along the coastline of East County Meath. Home to 900 multi-national residents, it is a unique setting that provides all residents with their own private home in a tranquil setting adjoining Mosney’s private beach.
The culmination of facilities that were part of the adjudication process were Mosney Food Hall, Mosney Community Room, Residents Gym, football pitches, tennis courts, walking / running track, Multi-Use-Games-Arena, Basketball Court, playgrounds, indoor soft play area, allotments, woodland walk and beach.
Also forming part of the overall submission were the numerous supports provided to residents through ‘Friends of Mosney Village’. This network is co-ordinated by Mosney Village and includes vital supports in health, education, sport, recreation, wellbeing, and employment to name but a few.

The Cathaoirleach and Labour Councillor for East Meath & Drogheda South, Elaine McGinty congratulated Mosney Village on winning this award saying it recognises their efforts under Best Community Health Initiative.
“The Mosney team have been very proactive in developing new initiatives around health and wellbeing over the last number of years. In 2017, The Mosney Food Hall opened its doors, offering residents a large variety of internationally sourced products to enjoy from their home countries.”
