The Ukrainian Ambassador to Ireland, Her Excellency Larysa Gerasko, will be attending the ‘Mothers of Ukraine’s’ charitable event tomorrow night, Wednesday 13th April, in the TLT Theatre, Drogheda, at 8.00 pm.
“We are grateful for her support, and hope all attending will have an amazing night of entertainment” said organiser Maria Butterly the composer, vocalist and musician.
“A well-recognised list of performers on the night include Maria Butterly and her Band, Maryna Odolska – a revered artist of Ukraine, Bill Shanley, Donal Lunny and Paddy Glackin, Vladimir Jablokov, Sean Keane and the St. Peters Male Voice Choir with Musical Director Edward Holly.
The Mayor of Drogheda, Councillor James Byrne said: “The community of Drogheda and neighbouring counties very much look forward to welcoming her excellency at this important charity event on Wednesday.
“I know that there are a lot of Charities in need of continuous support,” he remarked, “but this is a once in a generation event, war in the heart of Europe.
“So, that being said, I am appealing to the local community and afar ,and to the Ukrainian communities, to come and support this laudable cause to raise much needed funds.”
