Adult learners, their families and staff from Louth and Meath Education and Training Board’s VTOS programme gathered on Friday last in the Further Education Centre in King Street, to celebrate their achievements over the past year and to receive their certificates.
Learners from four adult education courses ranging from QQI Level 3 to Leaving Certificate were presented with certificates of attendance.
Some learners intend to return to the centre in autumn 2022 to commence a second year with the VTOS programme. Other learners have made application to progress to Further Education, Higher Education and to employment.
VTOS, is a free, full-time education programme for adults who are signing on the Live Register. VTOS, Drogheda will be offering the following courses in September, 2022: Return to Leaving QQI Level 3; Improve Your English and Get Job Ready QQI Level 3, Employment Skill s with IT QQI Level 4, Office Ready Employment Skills QQI Level 4 and Leaving Certificate to adult students.
The VTOS programme is for people who are over 21 years and in receipt of Job Seekers Benefit, Job Seekers Allowance, Disability Allowance, One Parent Family Payment or signing for credits for 6 months or more. Qualified adults whose partners are receiving these payments may also be eligible.
