Inver Colpa Rowing Club to host 12-hour charity Skipathon

Inver Colpa Coastal Rowing Club are to host a 12-hour charity Skipathon in Scotch Hall Shopping Centre from 6am to 6pm on Saturday 23rd July 2022, with funds raised being shared between the club and Drogheda Women’s and Children Refuge Centre.

Since 1998, the Drogheda Women’s and Children’s Refuge has offered a range of services to families who are being physically, emotionally, sexually or mentally abused in their own home.

They work from a self-help, mutual aid philosophy, which means working with people in a way which acknowledges their strength and courage and offers a range of choices and options.

Members of the Inver Colpa Coastal Rowing club will be assisted by staff and volunteers from the refuge, along with volunteers from Sean Kilroy Fitness and St. Nicholas G.F.C. to keep those skipping ropes moving for 12 full hours across the day.

A lot of training has gone into this event to get the team’s fitness levels as high as possible for this endurance event.

Inver Colpa would like to sincerely thank Sean Kilroy Fitness and St. Nicholas G.F.C for all their help so far in preparing for the Skipathon and also to Scotch Hall Shopping Centre for hosting the event.

Any donations would be sincerely appreciated at the following Go Fund Me link – https://gofund.me/522a5f77
